5. Matt made lemonade and sold it at the gate. He made $23.50 selling the lemonade. He paid $8.60 for the sugar and $4.80 for the lemons. How much profit did he make?

1. Misty earns $2.20 a week walking her uncle’s dog. After 8 weeks she decides to go to the movies with her friend.  She pays for both tickets costing $11.60 in total and $3.00 for popcorn. How much change does she have left?

2. Dayna wins $55.00 in prize money at the BMX race, but she knocks her bike around and has to buy new parts: 2 tyres -  $13.70 each, 1 hand grip - $8.50 and 1 foot peg -$18.00.  How much prize money does she have left?

3. Rewha had $30 in his wallet when he lost it. Gran felt sorry for him and gave him $20.00. He spent half of that at the shops, then he found his wallet again. How much money does he have now?

4. Charlie decides to spend his birthday money on new CD’s. The cheapest CD is $25.00. He buys 2 of these, and 2 CD’s that cost $30.00 each. He got $60 from Mum, and $60 from Dad. Hop many more CD’s can he buy?

5. Milly, Molly and Mandy find a wallet with $36.00 inside. They take it to the police station. One year later the police can not find the owner, and they give it back to the girls. They share it out evenly. How much does each girl get?
